When I think of the many people to whom I have steered towards my website, and then think of why so many don't seem to want to get in touch once they visit, I usually come to the conclusion that there was something to do with the juxtaposition of the image of Jesus Christ, and the feeble attempt at humor I injected when I first put this page up back in 1999. I should have removed the picture, and the jokes, and attempted a more serious and universal introduction to what is, perhaps, the most important section on AllThingsMike.
The Philosophy Pages will eventually comprise of what I like to call my "philosophical ramblings". I haven't written much since I put up the website, and the Computer BS section was spun off as a separate section some time ago. The main philosophies center around the Universal Mind, and my thoughts about the interconnectivity of the universe, and man's place in it. I do not mean to disrespect Christianity with my beliefs. I was raised, and remain, a Christian. On the other hand, I embrace all manner of thought concerning the universe, and don't discount any idelogy or belief system to the detriment of any other.
The first "books of the Realization" which will eventually comprise my "bible" which I proclaimed I would write even when I attended high school, are here, although I haven't yet branched from the "personal" story in the first few chapters, written when I first began the website in 1999.
My "Cultural Blender" pages will start here, as well. I have a great urge to create a "start page" or "portal" with musings about news and current events, with my own particular "take" on the proceedings. My "world view" is, like my belief system, based on an understanding of the connectivity of the cosmos.
Another part of the Philosophy Pages will be the "Hearsay" website, a parody of sorts, also dealing with current events, and mankind's particular insistence on mistaking understanding with , as the title suggests, hearsay. I feel that there is a lot of misunderstanding on the web. My aim is to put it all in one place.
