As I created the above colorized image from one of the cartoons, I fully realized I was putting a rather jingoistic image of cannibals tying Betty (the pure, white heroine) to the stake, in preparation to "eat" her. But I do not apologize for my prejudicial innocence, nosiree. The little guy is cute, and Betty and Bimbo respect their captors. |
